Special Holiday Rules For
Dec 24 - Jan 8
Residential Customers

Regular Residential Pickups
Monday and Wednesday routes (12-24 through 12/31) will be picked up at the usual times with the exception of the Friday, December 24 routes. The Friday, December 24 residential routes will begin at 6 AM so trash trucks will be out of town by 1 PM.

Special Holiday Week Curbside Pickups
A rear load truck with attendants will be running regular trash routes beginning on Monday, December 27 and continuing on Wednesday, December 29 and Friday, December 31.

The truck will pick up extra trash placed outside poly carts and is intended to collect the extra trash that Christmas will generate as well as items that have accumulated in and around residences. The truck will start each regular residential route at 6 AM (Mon-Wed-Fri). If the rear-load truck doesn't finish the route it will return the next day (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday).

The only items that are unacceptable for curbside placement are large appliances and furniture. All limbs and branches should be cut to 4 foot lengths and bundled/tied securely. It is important to note that a 3 ft separation of curbside trash from poly carts will be required so that regular trash pick ups can occur.

Christmas Tree Drop-off Point
Christmas trees can be dropped inside the fenced area on N. 5th St. (where old dumpsters are temporarily stored) from December 27 through January 8. Old trees will be given to hunters during the drop off time and will be mulched or hauled after January 8.

Commercial Customers

Friday, December 24 Commercial Pickups will be picked up beginning 7 AM on Thursday, December 23. There will be no commercial pickups on Friday so that the trash service can complete all regular Friday residential pickups by 1 PM Christmas Eve.

Special Holiday Week Alleyway Pickups

A rear load truck with attendants will be running regular commercial alleyway routes beginning on Monday, December 27 and continuing on Wednesday, December 29 and Friday, December 31.

The truck will pick up extra trash placed outside dumpsters that has accumulated in alleys. There is no charge for this extra service and is intended to help clean up trash and bulky items that has collected. The rear load truck with attendants will start each day at 6 AM and will be picking up curbside and alleyway trash placed next to dumpsters. Items should not be placed in front of dumpsters and no large items such as appliances and sofas will be picked up.

Christmas trees can be disposed of at the drop off point on North 5th Street from December 27 through January 8.
