Shelbi Phelps Initiated Effort to Help Collinsville EMS and Citizens

A garage sale is being held at the former Methodist Church building at 1201 W. Oak, Friday & Saturday (Aug. 6-7). Proceeds go towards the ongoing effort by Collinsville's Shelbi Phelps (& friends) to help earn about $10,000 needed to purchase a new defibrillator for the Collinsville EMS Department. Donations are also accepted at the garage sale. The photos above show just a few of the items still available Friday morning (including a car). There are many more items inside the church building. A silent auction is also being conducted on some items. The J.J. Project is named in honor of Shelbi's grandfather John (who died of a heart attack) and her cousin Jonathan (born with half a heart).
